My boy turned 6 months a few days ago and his sleep is getting worse that I’ve decided I want to start sleep training. I end up looking after him all day whilst my partner works and then dealing with him overnight whilst my partner sleeps in the spare room (his choice) so I am just one tired mama! I moved him to his own room 3 nights ago following 2 months of daytime naps in there and the first night he slept well but the last two have been a disaster 😩
Anyone who has sleep trained with success - what method did you use? How long did it take for success? Any tips?
I don’t want to go down the full cry it out method but if the Ferber method has worked for people then I’d consider that!
** I do not want any comments about what NOT to do(e.g I don’t want to hear ‘I could never do Ferber blah blah’) he’s my baby, I’d like to hear opinions of what HAS worked for people **

Hey, we worked with a sleep consultant. I would highly recommend contacting someone as every baby is different and not all methods work for every baby and their temperament. So for us regulated response worked but it won’t for everyone. It’s the best money we’ve ever spend, sleep is priceless x

I also did the Ferber method as my baby’s sleep was getting worse (he was waking up every hour at one point). His sleep is much better and he seems much happier for it too.
The method worked almost immediately for the night sleeps.

I found the ‘Ferber group’ set up by really helpful. You can search for it and read up on her experiences.
I also used the ‘sleep trainer’ app to track his sleep.

how long did your baby cry for ? I've been looking into this too but no way I can hack 10 mins + of crying x did ur lo settle after a few mins or did you have to go the 10+ mins xx

We did Feber technique and was a great success. Took a few days and it is hard at first but stick with it and trust me you’ll be so happy you did it!
