Does anyone else’s baby just seem to do nothing but cry?!! I’m exclusively BF my little one and baby did used to cry but not like this! Over the last week or so baby has stopped falling asleep at the breast and is wide awake after feeds - it looks something like - wake up crying, feed (can be fussy pulling on and off breast and needing to be put back on as still showing hunger cues, either scream straight after and be awake but somewhat content for ten mins, then scream again, baby will eventually fall asleep but for varying durations of time (5mins to 1.5hrs)
Any solidarity or words of wisdom??!! I feel numb and guilty for not enjoying this part of my baby’s life💔

Also experiencing this but my baby is formula fed 🥲

According to the midwives I saw a couple of weeks back this is totally expected between weeks 4-6!

Im having this too ! With my 4 week old.The other night it was a solid 7 hours of screaming after what felt like constant feeding and multiple nappy changes I just couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I did some research and found out it could be that he was too upset or tiered or lazy to suck on the breast and the more he tried the more he was fussing!! So I gave a formula top up which he took and instantly was better. From what I gather this can happen now and again and it’s basically baby being hungry but not being able to get what they need from the breast. Either being too upset to feed correctly or frustrated that the flow from the breast is too slow. I feel your pain it’s extremely hard when they won’t settle and there is no obvious explanation for it. Keep going your doing amazing ❤️

For me this was the start of CMPA.

I remember 4 weeks being absolute hell with my first baby and lots of NCT friends experiencing the same. Not too sure what happens but it did pass 🤍
