Washing/ Cleaning Chicco Next2Me?

Any second/+ time mums washed or cleaned the fabric of their Next2Me crib?

Need to do mine tonight so I can get the crib up as I’m due very very soon!

Hand wash or machine wash?
Temperature?
Products used?
Outcome?

TIA xx

Put ours in the washing machine on a wool/hand-wash setting, with some stain remover on a few marks. Needed to be hung up outside as it dripped a lot but eventually dried and good to use again

I machine washed it too on delicate/hand wash setting and everything was fine

Thanks need to do this was waiting for a good drying day!
Also we have got one second hand and the new mattresses don’t come with the board underneath them, if you have an existing mattress would anyone be able to share a pic of the board insert to see the thickness??

Avatar

have you already bought the new mattress? Just because if you buy the original chicco ones it comes with the board

Avatar

yes we already bought it before realising!

were you able to take out the insert on the side that folds down? I’m not able to on ours x

I put mine in the machine on the handwash setting with vanish, and then put it on an additional spin so it wasn't dripping. It's all back together and looking nice and clean!

mine doesn’t have a plastic insert it’s just a foam one but the feel of it so there’s no Velcro flap. Just going to pop it in the wash just now on hand wash setting x

Post a picture of your shared kid room

I am expecting a baby at the end of the year, and I have a 15 month old. He currently lives in my bedroom with me and my husband. We are thinking of doing a shared room with him and the baby. I'd like some inspiration to see how other people organize a shared room with two small ones.

Not sure what’s wrong- 5months

Has anyone experienced any of the below problems with their baby?
He’s always a happy baby so this is completely not him. He’s a terrible sleeper but now it’s worse, if it could.

He’s was EBF but now on formula for the last 2 weeks. 2 days in a row now he’s vomitted a lot of milk out everywhere in the evening and just before bed.
For example I was walking around the room with him around 18:45 and it just came out of no where everywhere.

He’s very miserable and takes ages to get to sleep. Crying lots.
He’s been dribbling a lot, flushed one cheek but I can’t see any teeth coming.

All night he just won’t settle in his cot. Sometimes just starts crying hysterically and I can’t settle him at all.

A very tired mama.

Any advise on what it could be?

When do I drop the dream feed?

14 weeks old currently has last awake bottle at 7pm, then is asleep by 8ish downstairs.
Carry her up and she usually stirs so ive been giving her 5oz dream feed.which she drains
Then she is up at 2-3am for another feed and goes back down till 6/7am ish.

When do I up her oz bottles throughout the day and drop the dream feed?

She currently has 5oz bottles..80% of the time drains them, sometimes only has a little snack

Help

My 5 week old is always up from 1am every hour grunting and squeaking and just won’t sleep. I end up having to bring him with me and I’m worried I’m creating a rod for my own back. I’m exhausted. First half of the night he’s okish. But from 1/2 it’s absolute hell. He farts a lot then as well but I just dunno what to do. Last night was the worst it’s been.

Weaning

My mil keeps making digs to start weaning my boy… he’s 4months I politely told her I’d like to wait 6m but she’s like oh it just helps them sleep longer and my son had his at 4m🙄

Side sleeping baby!

My little dude is 4.5 months old— he sleeps the best when he is on his side and when we pat his back. Whenever he shifts or moves to his back, he is much more likely to wake up (he’s already not sleeping much these days😅)

Do any of you have any suggestions for what works best for your little side sleepers to stay on their side? Or any items you use to help pat/move them overnight so you can also sleep?😅 TIA!
