2/5 Head engaged - 38 weeks

Been told by midwife we are 2/5 engaged. Has anyone else had this just looking for references and timescales?

I’m 36 weeks and I’m 2/5 engaged

It means 3/5 of the baby’s head is in your pelvic …. So they could only feel 2/5 of the head

3/5s at 36 weeks xx

babies can bob in and out of your pelvis when they move , don’t worry too much , if you have a birth ball use that as much as possible xxx

I was 2/5 at 34 weeks + 3 days and now 37 weeks and 3 days and no different :)

My baby has been 3/5 engaged from 36 weeks and he was the same at 38 weeks. Apparently if it’s your first baby, they might go into full engagement position only when labour starts.

I was 2/5 at 36 weeks and not engaged at all 38 weeks 🙈 now 40 weeks and still no signs of labour hehe. Don’t read into it too much!! Xx

Okay so basically it can really depend on when baby is ready and the engagement doesn’t mean too much! Thank you girls xxxx

My midwife said I'm engaged on my last 2 appointments and she couldn't move her head out of my pelvis at all on both, 38+4 said I was 3/5 now 39 weeks and she's definitely still down there xx

Birth options

Hello! I am 16 weeks pregnant and I am finally able to start thinking about my birth now! I am so 50/50 between natural and c-section.

I would love to hear your thoughts!

What type of birth did you have Andrew you happy you chose it?

Or what type of birth are you looking to have?

Thank you so much Xxx

18w gender scan

Has anyone had a gender scan where the sonographer was about as confident as they could be about baby's gender, then found out it was wrong later? We had a private scan today at 18+1 and we're over the moon but part of me is just scared we will have our anomaly scan in a couple of weeks and be told otherwise!! Sonographer today did seem very confident but I am just anxious 😅

Bump at 7 weeks

Does anyone else have a baby bump early? I'm sucking in to rule out any bloating in the picture.

Mucus plug

I began to lose pieces of my mucus plug yesterday. Today I’m pretty sure the whole thing came out. I’m a bit worried as I’m only 37 weeks.

How soon did you go into labor after losing your mucus plug?

Anomaly scan

Hey my friend was telling me today that they don’t really like people wanting to find out the gender at their anomaly scans. What was everyone else’s experience? We were hoping to have it written down and then find out privately but apparently they won’t do this?
