I put on loads during pregnancy and more straight after... Mine atm is so I can live and be healthy for longer. I don't wanna be a burden! Also I want my identity back! Don't wanna just be a frump permanently lol. So far I'm coping but just waiting for that next stressor to start snacking again so I can't preach, lmao. Cupboard full of creme eggs, rationing myself to 2 a day down from like 8 😂. Maybe just a small change rather than radical would help the motivation?
Honestly sometimes you just have to start with really small changes if you don’t have the motivation to overhaul your life (i feel the same) just start with the low hanging fruit. For me it’s just trying not to eat every minute of the day. I’ve started eating at the table instead of on the couch in front of the tv and not snacking after dinner. Now that that’s my new normal I’m experimenting with intermittent fasting and not eating fast food. It’s small changes but some weight is slowly coming off and I’m happy I’m at least moving in the right direction. Eventually I’ll actually get back into exercising and I’m looking forward to it but it just feels too overwhelming right now
Let me just say that weight loss was not for me while I was breast-feeding. I made the decision to wait, and by that time I was really mentally ready and is so so much easier in my opinion to lose weight when you’re not breast-feeding.
I'm wanting to lose weight, but also have been thinking about waiting until after breastfeeding. I want to make sure I have enough calories for me and my son or else I noticed I can get dizzy or have headaches. I still go on walks, do dinner hikes, and a little yoga/strength training. I think it's also about finding activities you enjoy. Plus my why is that j want to have enough energy to play with my son. It's a big motivator for me when I keep telling myself that I'm going to need to be able to keep up with him. What's your why?
@Lacey I physically was not able to lose weight until I stopped breastfeeding.
@Jessica I've had that experience of weakness and dizziness when my baby was just 3m old. I eat home made food but with a big quantity, and also I think about my baby that he should get when he suckles the breast. I don't wanna lower my milk supply to my baby ❤️
I’m just saying make whatever small changes you feel like you CAN make right now. And slowly improve over time. But honestly if you’re still breastfeeding and you feel like eating less will reduce your milk supply then you can’t really lose weight right now. It’s ok to just wait till you’re ready. Edit to add: I just realized you may have been responding to another Jessica who posted. This app is confusing sometimes
Thank you @Jessica I really appreciate your comments & initiative under my post. I'll do whatever is best for me.👍 And thanks for correcting me for the wrong tag
I’m telling myself I need to lose all of the weight I gained before trying again for another baby because I’m not adding even more weight.
