Potty training

I have a questions what do you mommy’s do for toddler boys that are in the process of potty training to use the public bathroom? Yesterday I attempted to hold my son above the toilet and gave him aim but he didn’t want to but once we got outside he peed 😂

Awww yeah that seems scary for him , but they do get it in the end. My son knows how to sit and pee but it’s different how it’s public bathroom and not his at home so he won’t but he also has no problem peeing outside lol

When we started potty training, we taught our son to sit. Aiming in a public toilet didn't happen until he was tall enough to do it on his own.

My MIL said she put cheerios in the toilet and told him to aim. Then said that she just took him outside with no diaper, then when he had to pee just said what are you gonna do now and then he ran to the toilet. I also saw a video where the mom gave her son a lot of liquids and made him wear real underwear so that he would feel it.

First day I tried to let him be naked, he didn’t like it so I kept him in just undies. He hated that too but we kept them on. He would pee his underwear a lot, but once I got the hang of when he needed to go I would get him to the toilet and sit him down. Then eventually he would pee and I’d run him to the toilet to let him finish and he started grasping the concept. I gave him jelly beans for rewards. If he peed I would give him 4 jelly beans, if he pooped he would get 6. That worked great. He was fully trained in like 10 days. First 3/4 days are very frustrating. But be consistent.

I actually had a lot of success potty training my son. I taught him to listen to his body and pee sitting down first. I had him point his penis down so there was no splashing. Once he was confident with that I had him learn to pee standing up into a toddler potty. He’s 4 now and can pee anywhere standing up lol

I just hold have him sit on the regular seat and I hold him with his butt a little lower so he’s not peeing up. The advice I was given was to wait til they can clear the toilet before they stand to pee

I had a folding potty seat, sometimes it backfired and made a mess. After several months, he's gotten to the point where he will sit on most toilets unless the seat is really huge. Sometimes I still hold him up so he doesn't fall in.

My son sits on the toilet to pee (he’s 4) I used to put toilet paper down on the seat in public toilets so he wasn’t touching it. He’s not tall enough to stand and pee yet.
