Do contractions actually feel like peroid cramps

Can I get accurate descriptions because I've always had serious peroid cramps and have prevented me from going about my day BUT I always thought contractions must be way worse.

When my contractions started, they did start as heavy period cramping but the more intense they got, they definitely felt 100% worse than period pains! X

That's how it felt for me at the beginning. They definitely got more intense as labor progressed.

As above for sure! My full blown labour was more like- I couldn’t speak during my contraction due to the intensity of the pain - took my breathe away.
The day off I had mild cramps which was a good indicator x

Yes and progressively got worse

Nothing like period cramps do let anyone lie to u there so much worse

Yes but like 100 times worse but it progressively gets worse it didn’t get horrible until I was about 5/6cm and was in desperate need for the epidural, I always had horrible period cramps and had to miss school because of it but contractions are definitely like a full belly pain/ back pain and not just lower abdominal pain

In the beginning yeah bad cramps after a while it felt like every bone in my bottom half was breaking my labor was about 40 hours an not gonna lie I had a horrible labor experience an ended up with an emergency c section my mom said with hers it just felt like constipation pains an she was fine without drugs an everything I was on a shit ton of narcotics an it did absolutely nothing an I have a pretty high pain tolerance so really depends on you an your baby 🤷‍♀️ if I have another child my husband said I need to do a c-section because he was terrified I was gonna die (almost did a few times) an I personally would rather do the c section healing then go through labor ever again 🤷‍♀️ I have respect for any way a woman gets the fucker out 😂❤️

Am I making the right choice?

I have recently decided to go for an elective C-section.
If this was your last birth experience would you do the same? I know it’s an individual choice but I keep doubting myself but I just had such a bad time… 😞

It was a Vbac …. Ended with…

-episiotomy with forceps
-retained placenta
-2litres blood loss with transfusion.
-GBS positive (probably going to be positive again)
-since birth 4 years ago i have been having issues with bowel incontinence 🙈

Husband help

FTM
We have to have an early elective c section for medical reasons on Friday. My husband seems not to understand recovery at all, suggesting we have his brother's within the week and go out for dinner etc at 2 weeks as I should have 'recovered' by then. This seems too much to me, am I being unreasonable?

Questioning if I should be concerned

I had an etopic pregnancy last January which resulted in losing my right tube.

We just found out we were pregnant 2 weeks ago when I was 8dpo and since then, my line progression has done well. I ended up getting bloodwork done last week on Thursday which my hcg was 88 which I didn’t know until today after my ultrasound-

Today I am to be 5 weeks and 2 days well..

I had an ultrasound vaginal and stomach, I was told she couldn’t see anything and I was asking if we should be concerned. The nurse then told me what my hcg was on Thursday and said that it is very very early. I told her why we came early was to make sure we do not lose another tube. She said they wouldn’t see it until 6 plus weeks.

I just don’t know if I should be worried about her not seeing a gestational sac- nothing. And I was told to come back in 3 weeks.

Does my hcg of being 88 truly mean I am earlier then what I had thought.

Just looking for some comfort please, I don’t want to go through waves of feeling like everything is going to be alright and then crashing.

My line progression and flo dates I apparently ovulated on the 3rd of March

Should I be concerned. I am thinking to get more labs done to see what my hcg has went up to and hopefully they can tell me if it’s good or not.
