I was never into milestones but my daughter is now 6 months old and refuses to roll over by herself. She gets at least 45 minutes of tummy time every day and doesn't cry too much while doing it. She can roll over assisted when I flip her to the side and she rolls from there. I just simply cannot get her to roll on her own.
She has also learnt to sit up now, so she simply doesn't want to roll. No amount of bait toys, mirrors, songs, etc are working. Is it a cause of concern to visit a paediatrician?

I wouldn’t worry, some babies don’t like rolling. In a few months she will be crawling and then it will all be forgotten 😊

Thanks! Isn't crawling correlated with rolling for development? I really wasn't measuring all this but every milestone book/app is telling me that she should be comfortably rolling at this stage, but she's too lazy to do so. 😭

I thought the same, but mine was literally like urs, never rolled until 10.5 months which is when she started crawling.

My baby didn’t start rolling until she was about 9-10months. She sat at 6 months but just didn’t roll n when she started she didn’t stop lol
I probably wouldn’t worry much. I think babies just do things at different times

My daughter is 1yr 2mo and hates rolling. She makes it look like she's never rolled over in her life when she does, which is rare. She also doesn't roll over in her cot and exclusively sleeps on her back and waits until someone gets her up after sleeping lol. Don't worry about it :)

My daughter didn't roll until around 10 months, she just hated being on her tummy and crawled super late too. But she started walking at an average age and now she's running, jumping and climbing all over the place. She still doesn't roll!

No my little boy has just turned 7 months and was showing 0 signs of rolling! I spent half an hour on the floor with him this afternoon with his toys just out of reach (his favourite ones), and he was edging and then stopping and smiling so I assisted like you said and helped with the hip and then when he was getting the rest of himself over I was making a massive fuss and clapping etc which he thought was great! So I kept turning him back to his back and re showing him his toys next to him and he eventually rolled on his own!
He’s the same, now he can sit he doesn’t really want to do much else, but I was surprised how quick he did pick it up. Just keep doing what you’re doing with floor and tummy time, it will come x

Thank you for all your comments, they've been really reassuring, I was worried that there was something wrong. Thank you all. ♥️

Maybe I need to make a fuss? I keep her toys out of reach and she tries getting it up to a point. Once she knows it's definitely out of reach, she turns back and starts staring at the ceiling, she literally doesn't care 😂.
I'm going to try clapping and find a few more big gestures in the hope that she'll turn. Thank you! 😊

She will do it when she is ready. Every baby is different. I wouldn’t worry to much 💜

My LG didn’t roll until 7 months and now she won’t stop. She hated tummy time so I didn’t really do it and then one day she just liked it and started rolling over and is now going through the motions of starting to crawl.. she seems to have gone from doing absolutely nothing to trying to do everything in such a short amount of time!
I wouldn’t worry.. babies just seem to do what they want when they want! ☺️

My little girl was never into rolling.. then at around 10 months she was trying to crawl unsuccessfully and then just rolled wherever she wanted to get to 😂😂 (so it was defo a case of she didn’t want to roll rather than she couldn’t) she started crawling at around 10.5 months.
She’ll do it when she’s ready.. for now enjoy the time where you can put her down and her not disappear 😂😂

My son didn't roll over till 8 months

Don’t sweat! Honestly my little girl didn’t roll until 10 months when she started crawling! No developmental problems a almost 2 now 😊

Her head is up super high and strong. She’s also propping herself on her arms. If she wanted to roll she probably could.

Mine is 11 months and will not roll back to belly. He's crawling, pulling up, cruising, etc... Ped isn't concerned since he's reaching all other milestones and obviously has the strength.

My daughter did it at exactly 7 months without any noticeable practice. Don’t worry things start to happen quickly when they’re ready and you realise there was no need to worry
