Next to me - MDF

Hi,
Very silly of me, ordered a replacement mattress for the Chicco next to me (frame given to me by my cousin) which has unfortunately come without the MDF board needed for beneath the mattress. Didn’t realise this part was needed before I bought it and threw away the packaging. Does anyone know where I could buy just the board or possibly give me an idea of how thick the board is so I replace it myself?
Don’t really want to have to spend more money on another mattress 🤦🏻‍♀️
Thanks.

thank you for flagging this - seems I have done the same thing! Will reorder the mattress with the MDF board from chicco spares and have to keep the other mattress for a spare/next-baby/sell. You live and learn 😩😅 x

Sorry it’s happened to you as well but also a little grateful I’m not the only person to have not looked properly 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 just when baby expenses weren’t enough - spending on the wrong thing is not what we need 🙄🙃 xx

Unless you are able to have a piece of MDF cut to size? It depends what next2me you have. I have been waiting for the magic replacement mattress that comes with MDF to come back into stock for ages

at this point I have spent more on a second hand crib and X2 mattress’s than I would have buying it new 😩 and I bet she won’t even sleep it now knowing our luck! X

🙈 there is no guarantee with babies. I was surprised how much a replacement mattress was for what is basically a bit of foam 🤦‍♀️

When you had a baby and you decided to breast feed did you feel that nurses were pushing formula?

My baby is not even 2 days old and she's been nursing super well according to the lactation specialist. She was born by c section so weight loss is expected to be higher than by vaginal birth due to the fluids given. I'm booked into see my doctor for the baby and I and lactation consultant at the doctors yet this nurse won't stop asking if I want to give formula so she can pee more and gain back her weight fast.

Reducing formula feeds

I've just been told by my nursery that they wont give bottles of/and formula from 1 year one, my little boys 1 in 3 weeks.
Looking for advice on how to reduce his formula intake?
Hes loves both food and milk 🫣 I think he will drink cows milk so that's not the issue im more concerned about the fact that hes in a routine with his bottles.

Help

I s it possible to get an emergency pair of glasses? So my little boy was born this morning at 24 weeks + 3 days. I usually wear glasses a but left then at home (and all other bits ) as we assumed we’d be sent home again like we had been many times for bleeding / fluid leakage (obvs that wasn’t the case) and now I’ll potentially be stuck an hour away from home without my glasses for weeks. Which obvs isn’t good how can I get a free emergency pair???

Baby won’t go in pram

Hi my 9 week old hates the pram. She screams the entire time she’s in there. I’m at a loss. She’s never liked it. She will go in the baby carrier happily but is completely against the pram. Any advice

Normal behaviour?

Please help. My son is 12 months old and still breastfed. He goes to nursery twice a week. When we pick him up, he screams all the way home (only 4 mins) and then continues to tantrum and really winds himself up to the point where he is extremely upset and distressed, until I can sit down to feed him. Is this normal please?😭 I’m dreading weening him off

Sleeping through

All I see at the moment is how their 6 month old is sleeping through the night… and we are no where near that!

Never has my baby slept through the night. Not once. She wakes a minimum of twice per night but more recently it’s 3 or 4 times (could be teething or from solids idk?)

Please give me reassurance their babies are the same???

Or if they do sleep through the night… what is the secret???
