Anyone else finding it hard? I love my baby but I was a busy professional before, I had a career I love and goals and now I feel lost and like I’m not myself. My little one is 8 weeks and I love her so much, but I also miss myself and the version I was before this. I find it hard to get much done because her schedule is all over the place and still in demand so I feel like I’m not achieving much that scratches the intellectual itch these days. Any other career moms experiencing this? I have a bunch of guilt about it for sure.

Yes♡ I was full time farm manager, long busy days talking to so many people all day long and getting a million things done. It feels strange even though I know my job is my 4 week baby girl and im busy of course I feel somehow im not doing enough. Ive signed up for a college spanish course online and took a 4 hour a week teaching job so I can stay connected to the outside world. My mom will baby sit for the 4 hours, we have practiced one bottle a day as im breastfeeding and she takes it so its possible to get away for a few hours. Loved the old me. Love the new me. An adjustment absolutley

Being a mom especially a first time mom is a huge life change. Give yourself some grace. It does take a while to find yourself and as they grow your role changes and you have to change what you look like along with it. But if you can get out to talk to other moms I would highly suggest that. It helps you feel not alone might also open you up to opportunities you never thought about
