Tommee Tippee Prep Machine?

My LO is 7 weeks tomorrow. We’ve used the prep machine the whole way through. She’s struggled with wind but think has settled. However she suffers with Milk coming back up and being really unsettled sometimes. I’ve noticed she’s not as bad when she has the pre-made milk when we’re out. I wonder if it’s the machine. Has anyone else found this? I used the kettle yesterday and she slept so much more and seemed settled. I’ve used the prep again in the night and twice this morning. She seems to be struggling again. I’m not sure if it’s coincidence or there is something in it. Thinking of just using it for her night feed and any off guard feeds. Anyone else had similar experiences?

We haven't noticed any issues with it but we use it for nights and off guard situations only. I have been making up bottles 'the old fashioned way' in the evening using the kettle and then heating them up in a jug with hot water. We also have a Tommee Tippee rapid cool which we've only just started to utilise. I think that this could actually replace the machine at night time so might be something to look in to if you are worried about the extra air from the machine 😊X

We swapped from using the prep machine to just using a kettle as our daughter wasn’t gaining enough weight! We found that she was much more settled with a kettle bottle and drank nearly double what she was drinking from the prep machine bottles! I haven’t used the prep machine since! Every baby is different though my niece used prep machine and was absolutely fine with it! X

Hi

I use the prep machine and haven’t had any issues.
My daughter does have reflux which sounds a lot like what your experiencing and i use infacol for that and it seems to really help 🥰

Be careful with infacol, it does help with coclics but there is articles saying it gets reflux even worse and in our case my daughter brings up 2h after feed if I give her infacol. Every baby is different Iam just sharing our experience. 🙂

this is interesting. We use infacol as well as she’s suffered with wind. Maybe we need to look at taking her off it to see if that is having an effect.

I had the same issue with the prep machine, he struggled with his wind massively! We’ve stopped using it and just make his bottles when he wants them using a flask and the rapid cool and he’s SOOOO much better! X

I had the same with the Tommie tippie prep machine, in fact I told my health visitor the problems I was having (unsettled, bad reflux, wind, not finishing bottle etc) and the health visitor advised me to try using the kettle instead of the machine as the machine doesn’t put enough boiling water in for the amount of formula. I switched to the kettle and she’s 100x better!

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
