My little girl is formula fed and her poo use to be yellow , watery with stringy consistency and sometimes had seeds in it . And then lots of other symptoms that led to me thinking she might have a cows milk allergy .
We’ve been put on sma althera and have been on it for a week now , although some of the symptoms she was having has got better . She’s still being sick and omg her poos are dark green and are expensive diarrhoea to the point it’s leaking out of her nappy (her nappies aren’t too small ) but she fills the nappy and it’s everywhere they are pure runny and smells like rotten eggs and has about 4/5 of these a day and it seems like she has her bottle and then 5 mins later has a poo like it’s going straight through her .
I just want to ask is this normal ?
And was her poos before on the old milk sound normal or like a cows milk allergy ?

Stringy, mucusy poo can be a sign of CMPA, along with skin issues too (rash, eczema, spots under the skin). Althera still contains dairy, it’s just hydrolysed, but I would be taking her back to the doctor and asking for an amino acid formula such as SMA Alfamino, which is completely dairy free
