All depends on their weight x

Normal is 24-36oz per day, it’s okay if they are sometimes a bit above or below this. As long as his pediatrician is happy with his growth, and he isn’t being pressured to finish bottles, he is likely eating the perfect amount

You can’t overfeed a two month old. Babies self regulate. I think you should feed him until he turns away from the bottle and doesn’t want anymore, but you should always consult your pediatrician.

Can’t overfeed a 2 month old! He should be fine

Like others said, as long as the pediatrician is fine with his weight gain, just go with it. Another thing to look for is if he is spitting up a lot, then that may be a sign that he is over feeding (he’s self-regulating by upchucking the excess amount).

Also, If you’re worried about over feeding you can try paced feeding which helps baby control flow better

My 5 week has days he will wake every 1.5hrs for a feed and guzzle a 4oz bottle, and some days like today, he will only have 2oz at a time every 2.5 hours.
Just feed when they're hungry and stop when they stop, you can't overfeed. X

You actually can’t overfeed a breastfed baby but you can overfeed a formula fed baby- that came from a paediatric doctor. My little girl struggles with being sick, they’ve tried all sorts and the doctors looked at her weight and what I was feeding her and told me for her weight she should be on 4oz and could be causing reflux. He said many are quick to diagnosis cmpa/milk intolerance and even reflux when it can simply be solved by feeding by weight. However they told me HV don’t tell you this and work on just the age of the baby but as you know some babies may need 6oz but if they’re smaller they don’t. Long story short after trying 3 milks for intolerance (my drs diagnosed) we’ve gone back to the drawing board as nothing was working. She’s now on normal formula but 4oz (correct amount for her weight) the sickness has pretty much stopped. So overfeeding can happen but you will never be told this by a HV and many gps don’t have enough knowledge to know this x
