Is anyone selling a Doona? Already have my pram but heard so many good things about this. Tia

Having a donna doesn't make transporting a baby any different. There is still have the maximum time in the car seat especially for babies plus you also need to think as baby gets heavier are you going to be able to lift it in & out the car?

You should look up the pros and cons of them. They are banned in canada and Australia as they were being used as strollers rather than car seats and causing positional asphyxiation (they should only be used for very short journeys and not in place of a stroller ever). They’re also pricey and they don’t have a long lifespan as your baby can only fit in it until they reach 80-81cm in height, 35lb in weight or have one inch between their head and the top of the car seat. It also has zero storage space underneath and it is very heavy for a car seat too, so lifting in and out with a growing baby might be strenuous. They also have quite low handles which also put me off.

I’d honestly recommend getting a 360 spin car seat that works for every stage from birth to 12 years old like a Joie. They’re such good value for money, very safe and comfortable and once they are in your car you hardly have to move them. Plus the spin function makes it easy to put them in and spin them rear facing

We got a car seat with our cosatto travel system which has been fine for the first wee while but it’s the rarest of occasions we’ve used it on the wheels as a stroller because babies need to lay flat for those first six months when you’re in shops etc as much as they can anyway. Plus it’s a faff taking it in and out of the car. Better to just use the bassinet or a lay flat stroller/pram that’s compact and lightweight with storage space for your nappy bag etc xx

As I think others have said, people tend to use them incorrectly. The baby isn't supposed to be in the car seat for longer than 30min at a time before they reach 6 months as it can cause breathing difficulties. Although a pain to put on and off, I absolutely loved the carry cot we had for the first 6 months and baby slept so comfortably in it when we were out and about. Xx

I’ve got one ! Waiting on my baby arriving! don’t listen to anyone’s opinions on them ! The amount of people I actually see use a car seat attached to a pram on a day to day basis is the same 🙈🤣 and I’ve heard really good things about them! They wouldn’t be getting sold if they weren’t safe! X

I wish they could engineer a 12 month + equivalent 😅 I had a pram system that came with a carseat and an isofix base. I have a car big enough to fit the wheels and carrycot in the boot. I would use the wheels and carseat or carry cot for small grocery shops, but if I needed to buy more than a few things I would pop the carseat on top of those specifically designed trolleys. Besides that I alwaus the used the carry cot on the wheels.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
