What can I give my daughter to relieve her constipation?? She's in tears when she goes! The pediatrician just keeps blowing me off saying she needs more water. This has been going on for months. There has to be something I can give her

Prune juice, orange juice, senna tea, prunes, dates or apricots… I made this stuff called Yakima paste that my pediatrician recommended & it’s been working like a charm. Can give it to your little one with water as a drink or put it on toast or eat it as is. Tastes like a fig nuitton.
1 lb pitted prunes
1 lb raisins
1 lb figs
4 oz senna tea leaves
1 cup brown sugar (optional)
1 cup lemon juice
1. Prepare the tea: Add 2.5 cups boiling water to senna tea leaves. Steep for 5 minutes.
2. Strain the tea to remove the tea leaves or bags.
3. Pour the strained tea into a large cooking pot. Add the pitted prunes, raisins, and figs to the pot.
4. Boil the fruit for 5 minutes, or until soft.
5. Remove the pot from heat. Add sugar and lemon juice and allow to cool.
6. Pour the mixture into a blender. Mix the ingredients into a paste
Keep small amount in refrigerator & the rest store in the freezer paste will not harden

Lots of fruits. Or miralax

Use 1-2 tablespoons a day as needed
*I couldn’t find senna leaves at any stores nearby so used a tea called “smooth move” made by traditional medicinals since it has a lot of senna leaves in it. Still works she’s been going everyday or every other day now.. coconut water could be another helpful option too

We use a probiotic with digestive health and it’s been keeping him regular

Plums, peaches, pears, mangos, beets, peas, blueberries and grapes all work great for us. Stay away from apples/applesauce and bananas. You're looking for high fiber low starch.
Edit to add, you need to get a new pediatrician! They should have immediately suggested to you to give her pear juice at the very least. That's what our pediatrician suggested the very first time I called them about my son being constipated. He won't drink juice though so we just gave him pureed poached pear for a day and problem solved. Pear is a natural osmotic (pulls water into the stool). We realized the constipation was being caused by the multivitamin we had started him on because it contained iron. His diet already had enough iron in it so when we added the vitamin with iron it was too much iron causing constipation. We switched to a multivitamin without iron and haven't had a bad constipation problem since. We just make sure to give him peach, pear, grapes etc all the time cause he LOVES banana and apple lol.

Culturelle probiotic

@Alexus how much miralax?
