Last date they will do surgery for an elective C-Section

My planned section was at 39 weeks exactly x

My planned section was 38 weeks but that was because of excessive fluid around her. They won't do it any earlier than 38 weeks unless an emergency xx

They tend to do it around 39 weeks, any later and you risk going into natural labour and it turning into emergency..

It can be after due date. My sister in law had elective and because there wasn't a medical concern if she went into natural, they didn't have to try and fit her in earlier. I suppose it can depend on how many they have booked already.

They usually do it a week before due date. Found out at 40 weeks my daughter was breech and scheduled me in first thing after the weekend a date after her due date.
