Newborn stage

Is anyone tired of doing the same thing everyday and being on a 2-3 hour schedule? It’s the same everyday and I feel like I’m losing my mind. It’s making me depressed even if I get out once a day. When does it get better? I feel like I’m just waiting for the next stage where it’s not just sitting around all day.

My daughter will be 2 months on the 2nd and I feel the same way. She still doesn’t sleep throughout the night and I am exhausted. I hope it gets better soon cause this sucks lol

Just get yourself out now! Feed baby and then take a drive to get a coffee, go to grocery, etc. My baby girl is 7 weeks and after week one home we have been out and about almost every single day! Get out even if it’s just to aimlessly drive between feeds—pop on some music and just be you for a little (but with a baby in tow)!

It gets better from week 5-7 for sure. Mine is currently in her actual crib taking a nap. You’ve got this!

I’m so sorry, this is so so common. Know this isn’t forever and try to do what you can to get some relief. Help for naps during day. Once a week outing for yourself. For me around the 3/4 month mark it started to ease up. I also introduced some formula so it wasn’t all relying on me. That’s not for everybody but that’s what helped me mentally and helped get some more sleep back. This stage is the toughest in my opinion. About to be a second time mama. Know you are not alone and it will get better!! ❤️❤️

It’s still hard for me at 6 months. You have to get out every day, and honestly it’s easier now when your baby doesn’t have a strict nap schedule and wake windows. Bring your baby carrier and go to coffee, walks in parks, etc and if the baby gets fussy/tired pop her in and let her take a carrier nap or nap in the stroller. Go to stuff on the weekends and let her just crash as needed, again so much easier before they reach like 4 months and have the sleep regression and need a real nap schedule with strict wake windows so take advantage of it!

I felt the same way. I was nervous & anxious about taking my 6 week old out, but I did it anyway or I was going to lose my mind. Little one did great & I feel much better. You should try it too ❤️

I feel the exact same. All I do is nurse, pump, change diapers, and wash bottles/pump parts. I know everyone says to go get out but my baby is super fussy and hates her carrier/stroller so it’s more stressful to go out than enjoyable

I feel the same exact way. I don’t remember feeling this way with our first. She was a completely different baby she slept through night well, no colic, didn’t cry as much as our second (I know not good to compare) but it’s my truth. The newborn stage feels like it’s dragging on. I felt nervous to admit this, didn’t want anyone thinking I was ungrateful for even getting to experience this etc. it’s just true, it’s put me in a rut emotionally. She was 7w yesterday and it’s felt like 7mo long since giving birth yet she’s still very VERY newborn like. Cries all day and night. Sleep is still very much all over the place. It’s been a doozy especially trying to keep up with our 7 yr old. Feel like I’m living two separate lives due to the age gap and the new baby crying the way that she does. Loads of things are just not enjoyable right now. I can’t wait till she gets a bit older. I don’t feel as though I personally will miss the newborn stage. It’s a lot. I FEEL YOU.

I feel this. With my first we were out every weekend just to have a change of scenery. This round im home all the time and it's driving me crazy. My boyfriend works and I just moved to a new state so it terrifies me to have both kids in the car to go anywhere without another adult. Taking the 3 hour trip to my postpartum appointment next week and im so excited to be out of the house for a while. Newborn and a 3 year old while trying to unpack is going no where.

I absolutely understand this and am struggling as well. Our little one does not want to sleep over night whatsoever unless in our arms and I can’t sleep like that! I have asked family members or friends to take him during the day for an hour or two so I can get some sleep but I was hesitant to do that at first. It made a huge difference but I know everyone doesn’t have that type of support. Just an idea to get through the trenches!

After surgery underwear

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for the best type of underwear to get to wear during c section recovery?

98th percentile baby!

So I’m 34 weeks and baby has been measuring large (only his tummy) since 2 growth scans ago which is bringing him to the 98th percentile and currently guessed at 5.6lbs!
My first baby was born at 7.11lbs so they have said he is big for my gestation in comparison

I am in so much pain and have been in preterm labour since 29 weeks so the contractions have been awful but never any progression! And his movements have slowed right down despite positive CTG and scans showing he is okay

Has anyone had this with baby? Gestational test was negative and I have a blood sugar test on Saturday

I have a midwife appointment and I’m wondering about requesting induction at 37 weeks ( I had my last at 38 weeks and almost ended up in a C section as my pelvis was to narrow and be kept getting stuck) so I’m getting very anxious about trying to deliver an even bigger baby!!

Thankyou in advance

C-Section date

I have had my obstetrician appointment at 36+5 days to request my elective c section.

The consultant requested the surgery for the 1st October making me 38+5 days on the day of surgery. But she did caution that it may be between the 1st-8th depending on theatre availability.
How many people got honoured the date they requested, and how many requested a specific date and was given a different date?

help 🥲

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep having pains in my back/side and it’s exactly like a cramp and it feels as if that part of my back seizes up and tightens and I can’t get rid of the pain, has anyone else had this and if so do you know how to get rid of it 😫 it’s been like this for over a week now, I can’t do anything without it getting triggered, I feel like it may be from the position baby girl is in but I feel so helpless I’m in pain literally everyday 🥲

Scared to remove c section bandage

The midwife told me to remove it on day 5. I had my c section Monday morning so does that mean today or tomorrow?
