Feeding whilst out

My baby is formula fed and whilst we’re out for the day we usually use ready made formula, but have noticed that our little boy is sick after it sometimes. I don’t know whether it’s because it’s thicker etc but he suffers from reflux anyway.

I bought 2 flasks to trial making them up whilst out but found the hot one was at 70 degrees at 11am, and then no longer safe temperature to sterise the powder. so I had only made one bottle up. I boiled the water at 6:50. And poured straight in.

Does anyone have any idea on how to either keep the water hot or any other ideas please?

thank you.
How do you clean it before the next bottle is prepared?

Get a better flask. I got a thermos one from Argos, it's £10 I think and keeps water hot for ages

thank you! Does it have a temperature display? :) x

Have you tried almost pre-heating the bottle. So pouring some boiled water in, waiting a few mins to warm the flask, tip away and then putting in the hot water for the day

Unfortunately it doesn't, but after trying it out, I'm fairly confident it keeps it hot enough for all day - I was using it for night time and next day it is still hot and steamy. So I would say you're definitely good for 8 hours during the day

I use the same method as I have two flasks, one for hot water and one cold water and really helps me during day and night feeds. I usually boil water at around 11pm and it’s good till 9/10am in the morning and vice versa. Don’t have a temperature display but water is usually steaming hot and that’s how I know it’s hot enough.

We have a thermos flask which keeps our water boiling for around 8/9hrs and depending how long we’re out for will fill either our nuby rapid cool with cool boiled water or if out longer will fill another flask with cooled boiled water xx

Those that do it with two flasks (hot water and cool boiled water), how much water do you of each when putting in the bottle before adding the formula? Thank you in advance :) x

Thanks everyone!
I looked into the rapid cools but wasn’t sure whether to get one or not.
I think I’m going to get better flasks! For short days out would be great but ideally need one that stays hot for 8/9 hours x

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
