How often are your little ones pooing? My exclusively breastfed baby hasn't had a poo in just over 24 hours and not sure if this is normal or not. Thank you :)

Ours is the other end of the scale, does so many poos! How old?
Shes only 3 days old, how old is yours? X

Just over two weeks, if you’re worried speak to your midwife :)

My little boy did this in his first week two, we got close to 48hrs without a poo. My anxiety went through the roof. Now he doesn't stop pooping 😅.
It's normal for Breast fed babies to go a couple days or up to a week without pooping because their bodies use more of the milk compared to formula

I think it's normal for BF babies to not have so much poo... mine on the other hand has quite a few 🤣

We had the same, went 40 hours on day 3 with no poop. I called the midwife as I was really worried and she ended up having a poop 30 min before the midwife came 😂
Try massaging her tummy, bicycle with her legs and warm compress (helps with gas too)!

My little boy did this to begin with - he had hardly any wet or dirty nappies for the first few days. Midwives weren’t concerned, said it was because I’m only producing colostrum at that stage, then when my milk came in he started weeing and pooping all the time 😂

We had 3 days of pooing, passed all meconium and started doing normal poos, then she didn’t go for 5 days 🙈 took her to the gp who wasn’t concerned, she eventually started again with dark brown diarrhoea type and then went back to normal EBF poos once a day and gradually has started doing more.
If they’re not showing signs of discomfort it’s not normally anything to worry about xx

My boy is breastfed and didn't poo for 5 days... he pooped up until 3 days old then nothing! Midwife and Dr's said so long as he has 5+ wet nappies per day they weren't worried, now he has at least 1 poop per day 😊
