Next 2 you

Hi,

What week is everyone setting up their next 2 you crib in the room? I’m 36 so just thinking!

I've put mine up today so I can work out where it's going to go in the room and move things around as needed but I will collapse it and pop back up when baby is here. Xx

I put ours up a while ago but was more for our dog to get used to it. It doesn’t fit ‘next to us’ though sadly due to the shape of the room so using more as a crib x

Mine is currently at my mother in laws but is getting dropped off tomorrow and will be going straight upstairs. Again, as another commenter said, it’s to try get my dog used to it being there 🙈 x

I put ours up a couple of days ago to stop my kids getting upset..they don't want to share a room and didn't believe me when I said they didn't need to (not yet anyway) ..so put it up in our room to show them they were staying put and baby would be with us 🤣🤣. And took the opportunity to move some furniture around in all of our rooms, put up new wardrobes in kids rooms and get some drawers for the baby clothes. Feels like a job I wasn't even planning on doing until week 39 or 42...🤣🤣...but job jobbed!

Have moved next to me away from bed until I actually need to be blocked in..otherwise the 3am wees would take even longer getting in and out of bed

Did mine today (33+3) simply because my mother in law dropped it round and I didn't want it taking up space in my living room so set it up next to my bed - will hopefully help my toddler and pup get used to the idea of baby coming x

Mines been up for weeks - mainly because we had to move our bedroom around anyway. It's not next to the bed just yet though, will do that when home from hospital as we have a Snuzpod downstairs also 😊

Ours doesn’t arrive for another couple of weeks, so I'll be around 37 weeks by then.

I've had ours up probably since just after our 12 week scan. My neighbour sold one to us stupid cheap and was already built. We've since moved our room around so was handy to have it up already so we knew what space we had to work with

Our Moses basket is up but in the nursery. The sheets are washed and ready to go but have put them away just now and will probably put them on a bit closer (I’m 35 weeks)

Having had 5 children 4 come after their due date with the other only 3 days early 🤣🤣 this time around I’ll be setting it up about 39 weeks around the same time I pack my hospital bag 🤣

Il be putting mine up within the next 2 weeks only reason being il be 35 weeks and medical reasons I’m being induced at 37 weeks so I want it done before I go into hospital! And I still have to pack my hospital bag 😂

Ours won’t be going up until we bring baby home, I’ll have it in our bedroom ready (folded).

With our first my husband put it up before he came to collect me and LO as we had to stay overnight.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

When did you circumcise your baby?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.
