birth plan

Im due with my 2nd & this time around i want to make a birth plan. Im new to the state NC & im not too sure how the doctors or the hospital is i can only speak for the one i previously gave birth at so for that reason id like to create a birth plan.. Where do i start ? lol. im looking for examples & i saw some cute formats of blank birth plans im also wondering if anyone knows a app i can possibly make one or should i just type it up . Also do i give it to the doctors at the hospital or do i give it to by ob gyn at my next appointment? *im 28 weeks* .

I’m sure it’s different in every hospital but I gave my birth plan to everyone and nobody read it lol

I would give it to your OB and bring multiple copies for the birth. Of course, I created a birth plan but since I went into labor early, there was no time to print it out 😂😂 so finalize and print it early would be my other piece of advice

If you can swing it, get a doula to help stick to your birth plan. As someone mentioned above, just because you make it doesn’t mean the staff will care. Not because they don’t want to, but because they are busy with patients and the medical model doesn’t really allow for personalized attention in that way. For that reason, I have a doula to help make sure my birth plan is honored.

My OB said we wouldn't discuss it beforehand in preparation. When I went I to labor, we brought several copies of my birth plan to the hospital and my OB reviewed it once they admitted me for L&D

I'm a first time mummy at 35, she's 16 month and everytime I sneeze or cough I lose control of my bladder and pee a little 😔, I've had countless utis since having her aswell! Will it get better? Or do I need to invest in panty liners? 😆
