Following. I have the same but haven’t tried it

Check the ingredients. Coconut oil is fine as long as that’s the only ingredient (or a lubricant WITH coconut oil) but that looks like it has other things.

We just used aquaphor. The windi is awesome

what kind of aquaphor?

Yes! We just used aquaphor. It works really well.

The windi has been a game changer with my LO. Honestly the best thing in my opinion for gas and even difficulty going poop. I was using Aquaphor but switched to 100% coconut oil that I bought from sams because it’s cheaper for way more.

is it safe to use inside the butt hole? My baby is having a hard time to poop. She’s two months and one week.

It works wonders!! 🙌🏼 I use coconut oil

is aquaphor safe to use inside the butt hole of the baby?

Avatar

I never had an issue, I only used about a pea sized amount.

Our doctor said it would be fine to use. Also, he suggested to not use it until he went 5 days without a bowel movement. He didn't want him to rely on the windi to have BM.

Avatar

oh okay but my baby poop at least once a day though. But she’s always straining so idk I’m thinking maybe her stomach still bothering her.

Avatar

I use one like once a week. It helps a ton! Watch for explosive poops!😆 I leave her on her changing table for a few minutes after holding it in for about a minute. Be sure to put some paper towels under your baby! Lol

our lo was having the same issue we started probiotics and it had helped!

Avatar

idk, I used organic unrefined coconut oil. It’s way cheaper and you can use it for other things too!

I make breast milk lotion with it and obviously cook 🤍

With Windi, I read that it’s best not to rely on it! Do everything else first (tummy time, bicycles, belly massage) and if baby is still in pain, go for the Windi! I also read that some people use rectal thermometers and have the same result! You just disinfect and reuse ♻️

Avatar

my baby strains a lot too! I find it adorable 😅 But the poops are pretty runny, how about your baby’s poop?

Avatar

oh okay thank you.

Avatar

lol the same her poop like mustard with seedy. I’m pure breastfeeding.

Avatar

Straining to poop is normal at this age as they are learning which muscles to use so they end up using all of them. Be careful using these. Only use of you have to. I loved them as they helped her pass gas but it can hinder them learning to pass gas on their own and take longer to learn.

I see thank you ❤️

The Windi ✅✅✅

I tried it before but it didn’t work. Used a regular lubricant.

I know others have said they have used aquaphor, but I wouldn’t use it, it’s for external use only lol

Imposter Syndrome

Does anyone else feel like you have imposter syndrome being a mom?

I had my first a couple weeks before I turned 38 and I had already accepted I wouldn't have kids (not by choice).

I remember going to my appointments feeling like I wasn't as pregnant or really pregnant like the other patients in the lobby were. I often catch myself feeling like this isn't my life and I'm playing house my child. I love him so much, but I feel like this just isn't real. He's 15 months so I've had time to come to terms.

Has anyone else felt something like this? How did you get over it?

When to stop C curl and restricted blankets?

May be too soon but just out of interest. When is it safe to no longer sleep in C curl around baby/child? My girl is 10 months but very long and I can no longer do C curl well 😅. Plus her whole bottom half is past my waist now which is where I keep the blanket too.

Long night wakings and exhaustion

My 4 week old wakes once/ twice in the night. Problem is that the wake period is really long. It’s not that he’s awake for the whole time, but he struggles to get comfy again in his next to me. It often means I’m awake from about 2-4am and then he wakes again around 6 and we don’t get back to sleep after that one. We don’t get to sleep until around 10:30/11 as that is when he has his evening feed. My toddler is also waking in the night too sometimes. I’m so so tired that I can’t think straight and I’m also doing nursery runs/ looking after a toddler at the same time as a newborn and just feeling really overwhelmed. My husband helps out but he’s back at work and is knackered too. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Nap times

My baby girl is currently 14 weeks old and we have been struggling with naps for a while now. We manage to get her down a few times a day however she does not sleep longer than 30 min.. I know this is the length of a sleep cycle so it is normal but she l never seems to be fully rested especially in the afternoon. She often wakes up looking tired but refuses to go back to sleep, or if I hold her and rock her to sleep there is no way of putting her down again. The evenings are a battle because of it as she gets over tired. Any tips or advise on how to lengthen her naps?
