Looking for some input on Mom’s on Call.
My LO is 3 months old and has to be rocked to sleep. His naps are crap naps unless I rescue it with holding him and his night sleep is all over the place. He’s EBF and will not take a bottle. He’s started sucking on his hands when he wakes up, but hasn’t mastered putting himself back to sleep and I’m thinking it’s because I help him get to sleep.
Moms on call just seems daunting and I’ve read so many things that say sleep training isn’t until 4+ months. But, MOC starts so much earlier. I just want him to be able to put himself to sleep!
Anyone have success starting MOC around this time with an EBF baby? I’m so nervous to hear him cry a lot. He‘a happy and a healthy 15lbs little man!

It’s not because you help him get to sleep it’s because he’s 3 months old. It’s normal.

You cannot sleep train a 3 month old! This is developmentally appropriate.

Hang in there! I know it’s extremely hard on you, but soon he’ll be 4mo and you’ll be able to ST him. Same thing happened to me, then there was the 4 months sleep regression, I was a mess and exhausted. When my daughter was 4.5mo I decided to ST her and it was life changing. But before that she would only do contact naps and when she woke up at night would only go back to sleep nursing and would scream her lungs out when my husband picked her up. Again, hang in there, this will soon be over.

If he won’t take a bottle, MOC is probably not the right fit. And it’s not super breastfeeding friendly in my opinion. You need to know exactly how many ounces he’s eating during the day. And it does involve quite a bit of crying. 3 months is very young, you aren’t developing any “bad habits”, it’s just normal infant behavior.

My son is 15 months old and we still have to rock him to sleep, idk if he's spoiled at this point or if theirs a way we can break the habit. At this point I'm thinking he'll grow out of it with age

my girl is 5.5 mo and i’m interested in people’s experience sleep training. she has been co-sleeping with us since birth and we need to get her in her own space. what did you do?
