Health visitor

I've had mine and was really anxious about it but she was lovely! Didn't look around at all just wanted to check where baby would be sleeping at night to check it wasn't by a radiator or window. She just gave me lots of information and wasn't judgemental xx

Mine came last week, literally only came in my living room, fired lots of info at me and asked lots about my life x

Yes I had mine too, she came in and we only sat in the front room. You could definitely see her having a little nosey about which I get is completely understandable. She asked me questions about myself and partner, his job and my job etc. She shared leaflets with me, asked about feeding, safe sleeping, mine and my partners mental health and about the support I had around me. I have my Moses basket already down stairs so she didn’t need to ask about that, but she did say on her next visit which I assume is when baby is here she said she wants to see where baby will be sleeping. It was absolutely fine, I was worried for her to come and look at my home but i worried for no reason xxxxx

We’re mid house renovation and she was so lovely I was so nervous she was going to look at our house and think omg but she made me feel so at ease. Mainly talked about us as a couple our jobs etc, feeding options and safe sleeping x

Mine literally just sat in the living room, gave me baby’s red book and told me a few things that were in there like feeding info, about the children’s centre, safe sleep etc. she asked where baby would sleep and how I was planning to feed and that was it. I didn’t tidy at all other than to clear the sofa and arm chair so she’d have somewhere to sit. I got on with her so much better than the one with my son thankfully! X

Are these visits planned or do they just turn up? Panicking now that the HV will turn up and the place is a mess

im pretty sure no health professional can just turn up at your house without warning and expect to come into your house. Its an appointment like any other and you get told about it in advance.
Not all areas do antenatal health visitor visits, some just start after the baby is born

My midwife has said not to except a visit as there so short staffed !

I just had a phone call from them, asked lot of questions similar to first booking appointment and then said they’ll be in touch..

Mine came last week for about 30/45 mins. She was lovely. Sat on the sofa and had a chat about feeding, safe sleeping, vaccines (my partner is wary about what’s in them) and that’s it really.

Mine came and just talked briefly about what she’s their for, gave me a little information pack and talked through some leaflets and just asked some bits about my pregnancy

She said she will look around and go through things properly when the baby is born

The visit was more to just say hi and give us some info to read to prepare us for baby ☺️

I've had mine. She was lovely, she was more concerned about the pain I was in and how I was coping then the sate of the house. It wasn't a mess bit it was tidy either 😂 she said I was naturally chatty so she didn't have to ask to many questions!
