Hello ladies,
I got told after my 20 week scan that my placenta is posterior but is low lying and is 1cm away from cervix. Was told will most likely move higher, has anyone else had this and had it moved higher?
Also the midwife said that baby’s tummy is measuring in the 90th percentile. Does that mean she will be a big baby?
Thankyou

Hi Rebecca, welcome to my current pregnancy journey! My placenta is sitting directly on the cervix. I’ve got extra scans at 28 weeks to monitor.
I’m really keen to hear if other mothers have had this and how they progressed.
Re: your bubbah, babies can be a range of proportions, and the majority of growth actually happens from 20 weeks so it’s hard to predict the final size.

Yeah, I had complete placenta previa 4 weeks ago at 17 weeks and at 20 weeks it has moved to less than 1cm away from cervix anteriorly, I believe mine will move more than 2cm and I will be able to give birth vaginally as the placenta can move as the uterus expands
