So i been struggling to get my toddler to go nursery for the last few weeks she throws a tantrum. Hides her nursery bag tries to take it off on me. Abs when we do leave the house. Once she realises we near the nurse the tantrums start again. She was fine before yes there was day she was more difficult but never to this degree now is taking me 30min-1h to get her to nursery which is normally only takes 10-15min. Sue goes twice a week there haven't been any new staff changes that I'm aware of but her Behaviour isn't getting any better. Even the staff have no idea what's going on they keep saying she's playing and interacting well and she's happy once she's settles.

Could it be a bit of separation anxiety?🤷🏼♀️

don't think so she was fine before as I said its a recent development

My daughter had a wobble like this, I try and make the car journey fun to take her mind off it and we allowed her to take a small toy/ something I asked her to look after for me, we found it worked as she was so focused on the other tasks etc x

It happens! My boy gets upset going to nursery every time we get back from holiday. Just stick to routine and whisk her out the door as quickly as humanly possible so she doesn't get a chance to get so worked up. Enlist dad if he's any. It will pass!

@Jenny-Wren I reached the point that she can take whatever she wants as long as she leaves the house with minimal fuss. Said we going to see animals today she was not impressed when she saw we was at the nursery. I'm pretty sure I be paying for that lie this evening
