My baby boy came 2 months early, and will be in NICU for a bit. He’s doing so so well already and it’s only been a week. I suffered from a spinal headache right after labor and it lasted the first 5 days. I was in the hospital for 3 days after and could only handle sitting upright to see him for like 5-10 mins at a time. Day 6 (yesterday) I was finally able to stay at the hospital for hours and FINALLY hold my little guy. He’s already off cpap and IVs, and completed phototherapy. He’s improving everyday and I have so much hope that he’ll keep being strong for us. But man is it hard to leave him every day. I’ve been snuggling with his blankets and crying myself to sleep. Don’t wanna rush his care by any means, but just can’t wait to have my baby home 🩵

He’s so cute !! Congratulations mama!! Question was it a reason you had him early ? Or t just happened?

thank you so much! my lil angel. and I have NO idea why he came early, doctors didn’t have an answer for me either. I went to my ob 3 days before for a normal check-up. was completely fine the night before. and then woke up at 5am with bad period type cramps shooting through me for a couple minutes randomly. started every like 20-30 minutes for almost 2 hours. and then I got up and they quickly jumped to under 10 minutes each. called my ob and they wanted me to come in to the next appointment available, which was 2 hours prior to me calling— by the time I got there they hooked me up to check for contractions and said 100% I was having contractions and when they checked further I was already dilated to 4cm. there was basically no stopping him so they sent me to the hospital right away and by the time I settled in there and got a room I was already at 6cm. a couple hours later, if that— I pushed him out in 29 minutes. it’s a mystery, but I believe it’s God’s mystery.

I appreciate this encouragement and reassurance!! ✨

thank you so much 🥲

That I you for your response! I’m 32 weeks and I feel like I’ll have my son early too! But I’m 1hr away from my hospital I don’t want to have him the town in at I see my doctors 1 hr away 😩 I also work for the bus company I’m so nervous I’ll have mine early as well…but not on a school bus 😅😂

oh no!!! that sounds so worrisome. I wish there were better signs to let you know in advance /: I’d say if you’re feeling anything abnormal, trust your gut and start heading to your doctor. or at the very least call and see what they say. I was skeptical about calling cause I figured it couldn’t possibly be LABOR contractions, and my husband was like no you need to call anyway— and I’m so glad I did because I probably woulda had baby boy in the tub at that point lmao. Praying you have a safe delivery!!
