Doctors say at least 3-4 weeks but I waited till 6 weeks. It's too hot and grimy out here to do it and even when I did I haven't since. It's just a lot for a tiny baby

Our pediatrician said 6 weeks but however, if we NEEDED for grocery shopping to put her in a baby carrier to wear her (as long as she met the weight requirement for it) because that way people won't get all up in her face. Husband has just been doing the solo grocery shopping trips so we haven't had to do that.

I did it when she was a week and half and it was fine. Nobody touched her but for my own sanity and hers I’d do it again!
Do what works for you two best, there’s no science backing up the 6 weeks wait or any wait.

My baby is about 2 weeks and 3 days old. Most outings have been to the doctor but we did take her to the grocery store over the weeeknd. I kept her in her stroller with a blanket on her body and her sleeper on and kept the Muslim blanket over the stroller. She did fine and it was only an hour outting .

We were out every day his first week. He's 10 days old and I think I've only stayed home 3 days since he was born

My doctor said wait 8 weeks 😭 for the grocery shopping my partner and I order on the grocery app for pickup instead of going inside

I had to bring my little one out sooner then 2 weeks we had to get stuff but we had a canopy on her car seat and didn't let people near her beside family and if they where healthy

Just turned a month yesterday! We're still only going to doctor appointment. It's too hot in Texas to do anything & she's too little for comfort. We'll wait a little longer. Also for those having to go grocery shopping... Do y'all have curbside or grocery delivery as an option? We've been doing curbside or food delivery since 2020! And we're not going back to regular full on grocery shopping in store. It's so convenient to order from home and just have the groceries put out in our trunk.

He was out and about at 1 week. I am a in the go person and can’t sit in the house all day.

I took my baby out to a restaurant at 1 week old and she’s fine. No one was near us and I had to get out of the house my depression was getting so bad already. Do what you have to do for your sanity just be cautious

we didn’t have a choice :( we had to take him the doctors office everyday for the first week of his life but kept him in his car seat the whole time & still do (almost 6 weeks now)

I took mine out when he was about a week old. For the most part, I wear mine in a Moby wrap, which makes it easy to keep him away from strangers and lets him get a contact nap in.

I took my baby out at 1 week

I’m planning to take him out for neighborhood walks at 4 weeks. Momma needs some fresh air so i can’t wait but I’m gnna ask my doctor first

I took my baby at a week old to the grocery store in her stroller with the car seat and stroller covers up to completely cover her so no one touched her!

I say if the baby is healthy do it just be wise about your surroundings.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
