Just wondering as I haven’t done it but I see the odd people do it, is it safe to do? ☺️

It’s not advised because it doesn’t heat evenly and causes hot spots which can cause burns to baby’s mouth, it’s really dangerous x

i was told not to as it can create hot spots in the milk which can burn the babies mouth. i was told to use a jug of hot water or run under a tap x

Oh wow thank you. I was never advised before but that’s helpful! X

Iv always warmed them up in the microwave since my eldest was born he’s 16 I always give them a good shake half way through an at the end as well

I warm his water up in a pot and then make his bottles. Never used the microwave at all

If you heat for 15 seconds shake or swirl and then leave to stand while you do a bum change its perfectly safe. My bottle warmer created hotspots so I see no issues

I use the microwave, just shake n test n small time intervals

Just shake after and there will be no hot spots x

Breastmilk shouldn’t be microwaved I’m told cause you can basically kill all the good stuff.

I always do only for formula. I heat up the water first and then add formula to it. And always shake well and check with clean finger. With breastmilk slowly warm up bottle in very warm water.

It's because it can cause hot spots. But I've used a microwave to heat her food/milk. I like to think im an adult and know to take the product out every 15 seconds or so and check how warm it is, shake/stir it and serve when ready.

I waited till LO was about 10-11 months before i started using the microwave

Yes, also switch to glass bottles and at least silicone storage bags if you can. Micro plastics are sooo toxic and unhealthy but have been overly normalized as the go-to for feeding.
