Anyone else fed up of people not respecting them with its things to do with your child ? I took my little one down to my sisters to play before bedtime, to run about in the garden, fairly save and all enclosed and can watch from the window. He was playing on the trampoline (netted) with his cousin (4yrs) he was loving life, laughing running about and obv kept falling over. My niece kept jumping hard when he was trying to stand so he was going all over the place. I’m watching through the window and told her and my sister tell her to be more careful and not jump as hard especially when he’s trying to get up but apparently it’s okay. Then the second issue was they have a little high decking area (you need to walk up to it) i told my sister to bring him down incase he falls and she said ** is there watching him (the 4yr old 🙄) I was like he could fall through the gaps which would be a high fall and she’s like there’s no gaps, the sides were covered with a rope string from post to post so could have easily falling off, especially since he was running around it daft. My niece was only carrying him and pretty much dandling him over the edge to try lower him to the ground. I just didn’t feel comfortable with it so I went out to get him and everyone is saying I’m being OTT and dramatic and making sly digs asking if I had cotton wool so they can wrap him up. I’m all for him playing and hurting himself within reason I know it’s to be expected but when it’s soemthing that’s clearly a potential hazard from a height, and outside, concrete, stairs etc it’s an absolute no, no. I try keep calm as my sister is really the only close nit person I have to rely on to have the baby when needed but things like this doesn’t make me trust her if she allows that WHILST in my presence then god knows what she’s like when I’m not there. Even if i voice my concerns all I get is ‘I’ve raised 2 kids, I know what I’m doing’ 🙄🙄

My sisters daughter is 4 and I wouldn’t trust her with my son so I understand. I also wouldn’t not be outside with him thou as could pick up anything and eat it so I have to be out watching him regardless. I think at 1 they need alot of supervision. But I agree I the garden has hazards so I would be outside with him I wouldn’t trust a 4 year old xxx
I never let him out just with her I was watching him at the patio doors easy access in and out if needed just wanted him to have some independence (obv supervised from afar) but you know xx
