My newborn is 6 days old and seems to be in agony with wind. š To the point he wonāt feed because he is squirming and thrashing around so much. Heās breastfed and it causes him to latch and unlatch over and over because of the wind which is making feeding something I dread!! Means it takes well over an hour every time. Iāve started giving him infacol before every feed which has helped slightly but not really. Any advice please?

I never used Infacol because I found with my little one it made it worse and caused her to get a bit of reflux. I used Dentinox. I found after a few uses it really helped x

Iāll try that - so you give it before every feed too? X

Honestly the massages like bicyle legs, bring the knees to chest help. If not, burp baby after feeding. I know people say you donāt need to burp breast fed babies, but my girl is extremely windy & has to be burped after every feed.

Please try COLIEF!!! My LO had really bad wind.. these were a life saver for us!!! I canāt express how much I rate them.

second colief! Changed my baby, and actually my life š

I donāt know why Colief isnāt mentioned as regular as gripe water I think because itās expensive but who cares anything for our babies right! ā¤ļø

expensive but absolutely worth it! If Iām being honest I didnāt see much difference when I gave my baby gripe water š

my baby had really bad trapped wind from week 1 and I couldnāt see her in pain.. someone recommended colief and from week 1 to week 11 my life has changed. I have given it with every feed life saver. However sheās started to get colic now so I give her some gripe water too you can use combo as gripe water is more herbal. They say you should aim to stop colief at 3 months did you? I will wean my LG off it at 12 weeks and see how she is.. Iām nervous about weaning her off it if Iām honest š©š©š© but you can always re use it if symptoms come back x

I think Harry was 4/5 months when we stopped using it - we started introducing purƩes around the same time which really helped too x

Hereās another option that saved my life! I used the Frida baby windi the gas passer.
Frida Baby Windi Gas and Colic Reliever for Babies (10 Count) https://a.co/d/cYyjHic
For morning and night diaper changes or as needed, I would help my lo pass gas. Itās not the most glorious thing, but it would pass babies gas and give instant relief without the need for giving him anything. I took it with me every where and never had any problems with gas. Hope this helps.

I can also second the Windi, however I find my bubba can still have wind sometimes after it. Be prepared for the massive poops when it does work! holy moly, never seen poop fly so far across a room before šš
