Help identifying green poo (EBF)

I've been EBF my son who is now 4 weeks old. We've had a really rough few days where he's been on and off and not wanting to be put down. Yesterday in particular he has started shrieking which has only been reserved for extreme hunger or pain. We don't hear it often but yesterday was a shriek fest (and really upsetting)
He had some mucus in his poo yesterday but otherwise normal poo.
This morning he had freen poo and I can't tell if it's mucus.

I don't know if this is hindmilk/foremilk imbalance, an allergy or a tummy bug. Do I take him to the GP and risk upsetting him further?

Thank you.

I saw my HV yesterday and she was say green poo can be a sign they are mainly having the foremilk which is more sugary and could cause a lot of gas etc. Maybe call your HV today and see what they say?

I had this with my little one and the pop looked very similar to this & my HV said it was likely he was getting too much foremilk and not enough hind, and his slow weight gain backed this up x

We went through a phase of about 2 weeks of this. Baby girl is back to yellow poos now. I asked the GP when we went for our 6 week check and she was very dismissive and said it was normal.
Got our HV coming tomorrow so will ask them too.

To add - we’ve had more mucus than you’ve got in that nappy pic! And he still said totally fine. Some mucus is totally normal. A range of colours is also healthy. We’ve also had days of crying and thought it was related but it’s not ! Try not to worry! Xx

Thank you everyone who has responded I'm lucky enough to have a friend with a baby boy one week ahead. I think he probably did lack some hind milk as he really struggled in the heat yesterday and wasn't staying latched and I kept switching breast. Making sure we go back to normal now where he stays on.

I sadly do not have my HV number to call 🥲 and I think she's on holiday now. Frustratingly she says round yesterday but he was doing his normal yellow poos! Only just started doing them this morning but he went green yellow green so hopefully going back to normal and he has just a bit of a funny tummy. Checked temp and he was in the normal range and it seems he's catching up on sleep after many days of being wide awake for most of the day.

An update. It looks like it was just the hot weather. He did have one bright green and frothy poo which confirmed my thoughts. He wasn't getting enough hindmilk which I really wasn't surprised about as he was switching sides regularly and it was so hot I can understand him only wanting the hydrating foremilk!
After a difficult day and night he has gone back to his normal yellow poos and is happy as can be!

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
