Anyone else?!

Prior to her 16 week immunisations, my baby was brilliant at self soothing day and night and was happy napping and sleeping independently, as well as having contact naps.

She is still great at self soothing during the night, but during the day she will cry inconsolably when tired and it takes me a good half an hour to finally get her off to sleep.

I know there is the sleep regression too. It would just be interesting to know if anyone else is experiencing the same 🙃🙃

My baby is just getting used to soothing himself to sleep but he has his jabs tomorrow, so I shall steel myself for it all going downhill!

You could be okay! I’m sure it’s just a combination of a growth spurt, the jabs, THE HEAT and possible teething. It’s still not fun though 😬

My boys behaviour has changed in different ways after each one of his jabs, so strange and unpredictable 😂.

This sounds like my little boy. He had his jabs yesterday morning and has been inconsolable almost constantly since 😢 between the jabs and the heat he’s not napping well at all, and only contact napping at that. He took the first 2 sets of jabs so well too, but this one seems to have really wiped him out bless him. Hope your little girl feels better soon! 💗

this is interesting to read. My LO had hers this morning and was normal happy self until around 2 1/2-3 hours after and is now inconsolable or sleeping (contact napping as screams if I move her) x

Oh no we’ve just had the jabs this afternoon 🥺

My little one had her jabs yesterday and she slept peacefully for nearly 4 hours today.
I think the change in behaviour has more to do with leaps and sleep regression than with the jabs.
My baby girl has been in the sleep regression since week 14 and seems to be getting out of it.
The weather also doesn't help for some babies

My little girl has been the exact same today after her jabs yesterday. It’s been a tough day to say the least, like others have said i think it’s a combination of a few things unsettling them at the moment☹️

My daughter has just had her jabs at 14 week as she was behind on having her first and for the past few weeks shes been the exact same. Shes crying all the time , she cant get herself to sleep anymore, shes crying through the night too but i think its a mixture of teething (can see shes teething as her gums are white and shes dribbling everywhere and chewing absolutely everything) shes just had jabs and the heat on top of it all x

Help

My LO every feed. Drs don’t seem to think it’s a problem the whole Muslim cloth gets soaked so much I’m using towels now. I’ve tried size O teats he gets really frustrated and still spills it out :(

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

4 month sleep regression

Does anyone else feel like they’re back in the newborn trenches through the 4 month sleep regression ?? 😭😭 my boy turned 4 months yesterday and the past 3 nights he’s woken up every 20-40 minutes. He does manage to get back off to sleep after I give him his dummy. It’s so strange though because his daytime naps don’t seem to be affected? He has 2 x long naps a day (around 2 hours) and a couple 30-40 minutes here and there and seems fine during them, it’s just his night time sleep! I read it can last for 6 weeks, I pray it doesn’t because I am shattered 🤣🤣

Is this a normal poo?

Apologies for picture included. 1 year old has had a funny tummy since Friday not watery diarrhoea but very explosive and paste like poo and he’s not being eating as much but been drinking his milk and water normally! Today we had this poo though and it seemed a very chalk like consistency and very pale. Just asking for thoughts and advice really. He did also have lots of cream on his bum.
