Honestly I just wanted to share as I’m so proud!
I still rock my daughter to sleep in a rocking chair chair every night and put her down in the cot asleep. Naps on home days are either contact naps as she doesn’t let me put her down, or I make sure I go out in the car as she sleeps well in there.
Today it’s too hot for contact and I didn’t want to go in the car unnecessarily.
At nursery they simply put her in a cot, tell her to lie down and close her eyes, then rub her back till she falls asleep. Today I said we needed to go for a nap, and she actually asked to get in her cot, she voluntarily laid down, and I rubbed her back till she fell asleep!! This has never happened!
Not entirely sure what to do with myself for the next hour or so 😂

Trying not to get too excited in case it was a one off 😂

Oh this is fantastic! Well done little one!😊

Fantastic! And I really liked reading that as I thought I was behind with getting my boy to sleep by rocking too! Or contact/car naps. Glad I'm not alone there
and I’m glad to read your comment as well for the same reason! There’s at least two of us haha
An update. I also managed to get her to sleep last night in the cot and I was so proud of myself 🙌
Then the nap today was an utter fail. Didn’t sleep in the car when I ran errands, didn’t fall asleep in the cot, and then didn’t even fall asleep from rocking. I got cocky way too soon hahaha
