Baby sleeping alone for first couple of hours at night?

Anyone else putting baby to bed and going back downstairs for a couple of hours? Obviously I go and check on her every 15 mins or so but I’m just not ready to go to bed at 7.30?!
I feel really bad because of the risk of SIDS but it’s only for a couple of hours?!

I do the same as Ebony. Baby is in bed around 7pm and we then go downstairs with the video monitor on to keep an eye on him till we go to bed x

I leave mine upstairs for about 2 hours - check on him every 15 mins too xx

I do the same as Ebony. I wouldn’t cope without a monitor , I just stare at it anyway 😅x

We started doing this tonight, our 12 week old still has a feed at 11pm and I felt bad taking him up to bed that late & also waking him up accidently when we have dinner etc - we did his 7pm feed upstairs and then put him down to sleep, checking him every 30 mins and have the monitor on too!
Seems to be going well so far 🤞

Put in bed around 7 then go downstairs for a few hours with the monitor :) x

We do this with my 11 week old, pop her to bed and keep an eye on her with our monitor. The second I see her stirring I’m straight up the stairs to check on her and it’s usually always just her moving in her sleep 😅

Yep In bed between 7-7:30 then in his own room till he wakes up at 11, then is transferred into crib in our room. He’ll sometimes wake but just needs dummy putting back in and his off straight away again. All naps at home are also in his room upstairs as there’s no way he can nap downstairs as our home is very hectic

My 12 week old is upstairs by 8pm and I just use a monitor

We’ve been doing this for about 2/3 weeks now. It has given me an hour or two back to myself in the week and me and my partner some time together at the weekend. We just have the monitor downstairs with us. That hour to myself at night is what resets me ready for the next day so we’re going to keep doing it.

Monitors can be so expensive so if that doesn’t work for you FaceTime or video call another device and set it so you can watch the baby from downstairs it’s what I do xxx

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

4 month sleep regression

Does anyone else feel like they’re back in the newborn trenches through the 4 month sleep regression ?? 😭😭 my boy turned 4 months yesterday and the past 3 nights he’s woken up every 20-40 minutes. He does manage to get back off to sleep after I give him his dummy. It’s so strange though because his daytime naps don’t seem to be affected? He has 2 x long naps a day (around 2 hours) and a couple 30-40 minutes here and there and seems fine during them, it’s just his night time sleep! I read it can last for 6 weeks, I pray it doesn’t because I am shattered 🤣🤣

Is this a normal poo?

Apologies for picture included. 1 year old has had a funny tummy since Friday not watery diarrhoea but very explosive and paste like poo and he’s not being eating as much but been drinking his milk and water normally! Today we had this poo though and it seemed a very chalk like consistency and very pale. Just asking for thoughts and advice really. He did also have lots of cream on his bum.
