someone please tell me how you introduce solids! How much do you start with? Do I keep feeding more if they like it or just stop and then bottle feed? Do you bottle feed before or after? I don’t understand much and don’t have tons of time to read up on tons of details. I know I should know this but please help and keep it simple <3

The general advice I was given was to start with one meal a day when is most convenient for you, so I started with breakfast, I tried baby rice and baby porridge but she wasn’t into it so I just did one rusk with 1-2 oz of formula, later going onto half a weetabix with some formula and some banana mixed in - to give you a bit of context of portion. she wouldn’t eat it all at first I just went with what she wanted. I was also advised to give bottle first then wait an hour before trying food so to not overfill them, they’re still getting all their nutrients from the milk at this point it’s just introducing food with flavours and textures. I am by no means an expert just giving my recent experience 😅

When we started we did lunch 1st as was advised by Health visitor and she said to start with bitter veg like broccoli but stick to single things 1st she said if you give sweet veg and fruits that's all they will want so start bitter then introduce sweet also Solid starts is a great app and Instagram page to follow shows you how to introduce and cut foods based on age
