Is anyone using QDA to homeschool this year or have you ever? The daily time requirements seem excessive for my 2nd grader and I was hoping someone more experienced could give me some advice. We're only on day two. 🥲

What are the daily time requirements? We are currently considering homeschooling as well.

Girl, 5 1/2 hours a day. 😭

I'm not sure if the time requirement is the issue or how we're doing the courses.

Oh wow!! That is a lot..
We're slightly leaning towards doing the good and the beautiful homeschool course but it's a bit pricey and it will require me to do the teaching... I'm not super confident in my teaching skills 🥴

Thats why we chose QDA, because it's free and they provide workbooks and a computer, but I have to be very hands on right now to help him.
He has math, English, and science courses where he has specific lessons for each. He also has art and gym, but I'm kind of on my own with those because there are no plans or lessons. He has to log 5 and 1/2 attendance hours per day, and it takes us that long to get through one lesson of math, science, and English a day.
I don't know if we're supposed to do less than one lesson per day or what I'm supposed to be doing. 🥲 I was hoping someone here could tell me how they structure their day before I have to call his instructor AGAIN. 😩

Oh man.. that sounds tough!
I hope you guys get the answers you need to make it easier for you!!

Thank you so much! It's definitely an adjustment and we're learning 😂 I just want this to be a good experience for him and make sure he's happy and learning. 🥰
