If breastfeeding, when do you plan to start having a glass of wine again? Will you pump milk for baby or are you not worried about drinking and feeding?

If you have one standard drink once you finish feeding you won't need to pump before. The level of alcohol in your milk will be so low that once bub metabolises it there will be next to no alcohol in bub.

If you are safe to drive - safe to feed.

I asked midwives at the hospital and they said no alcohol is a safe level while breast feeding.. 🤷‍♀️ but I have heard people say they pumped prior and had a glass and or two and waited the hour … or pumped and dumped it.
I have worked in bar and we usually say for each drink you have wait an hour or more depending on body weight mass etc and how much water you drink and or if you had food before driving home if that helps… it’s even recommended by police because they can pick up even one standard drink you’ve had.
Thanks , and .
I have the Feed Safe App, which suggests I can’t feed for 2.5 hours after 1 standard drink. I think that will be impossible as my little one is feeding unpredictably and almost hourly. Perhaps this means I can’t drink at all unless I pump and give her expressed milk 🤷‍♀️

I might say not popular opinion, but if it something occasional and you crave for some just enjoy glass of wine or beer… either during or straight after the feed. By the time it reaches blood/milk it will be less % then in yoghurt .
