When should I size up on a diaper. My baby was a premie 5 pounds 6 ounces but now is 1 1/2 months and is still in newborn but I don’t know if I should size up yet. The diaper isn’t snug or anything and she doesn’t have any blowouts.

Following my daughter is 1 mth she still in newborn 7 1/2 pds

If the tabs don't reach the "marks" anymore, if the diapers leave red marks on their legs or waist or are way below their belly button or they leak

My baby was full term but only 5 lbs 13 oz and we are now so confused on everything. Her diapers say 10 lbs is the limit so we are just waiting until then to size up

im also so confused. I tried putting a size 1 on her just to see and it’s sooooooo big

@Nicole I thought that happened when they were too big or just if they pooped a lot at 1 time too. My baby has blow outs sometimes but not a lot and she's already wearing a size 1 and she's 4 weeks old and 2 days away from being a month old. She was 10 lbs 3 oz when she was born.

There's marks where the tabs go and when it doesn't reach those marks anymore it's time to size up

My son stopped using new bien diapers at 2 weeks old now he is 10 pounds last time I checked 2 weeks ago so around 9 pounds we sized up

Much about the weight guidelines. My girl is in a size 6 and is only 24lbs. So many factors for it. Red marks on waist and or thighs/butt, imprints of the inside diaper on her vagina, tabs don’t reach, butt cheek hanging out, blowouts, leaking. Those are all signs but you may only have a couple.

I’m right there with you! Only thing is she gets marks from the diaper .. but even with size 1. 🤦🏾 idk how why though

Mine was 8lbs 12oz and only lasted in Newborn one week. We went from Huggies to Pampers and Pampers run small, so we just went to size 1 in Huggies. Now we've had two blowouts baby is 10lbs so I think we'll be sizing up soon.

could be the diaper brand just not fitting great on her. Mine filled her diaper completely 2/4 times yesterday 🥴 and no blowouts. She's in a size 1 as well and 5 weeks and was 7 lbs 8 oz. She started blowing out of her newborn diapers like two weeks ago then we switched up to size 1! I'd try buying a different brand of diapers (smaller pack) to see how they work!

@Nicole Thats true. We've been using diapers people bought us so we have different brands. We've been using pampers and luvs size 1 bur they're almost out so I might just start using the box of rascal and friends we have because they run bigger.

yeah I found out not all diaper brands fits all babies after my showers and no one got us diapers lol. I told my cousin I was a little surprised by it because EVERYONE told me that we'd get diapers. I guess everyone had the same thought process and wasn't sure which brand lol. So we just got a few small different brands and then just got bulk when we made a decision. Thankfully there's many brands and hope you find one that works for babygirl best soon 💕

@Nicole ikr. No one got us any until after she was born. I already knew what brands I wanted to try because they're what has worked the best with my son but I knew they might now work the same with her.

My LO every feed. Drs don’t seem to think it’s a problem the whole Muslim cloth gets soaked so much I’m using towels now. I’ve tried size O teats he gets really frustrated and still spills it out :(

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

My seven year old

Is out of control. Her dad and I share 50/50 and when she comes to my house she is so mean. And idk what to do

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
