Gave birth on September 4,2023 decided I wasn’t going to breast feed and just do formula— where I think breast feeding will be GREAT but def time consuming due to me not having any help.

It just means your body's ready for the baby. You don't have to continue the breastfeeding/lactating it will dry up after it's not being used. It can be so conflicting on what you should do but you got this on what ever you decide! ❤️ fed is best! You got this

Naturally women's bodies will produce milk for the use of breastfeeding, but it doesn't mean you have to breastfeed. If you plan on not breastfeeding though make sure you are NOT stimulating your breasts at all. Do not hand express or pump, because it will signal to your body to keep producing more. Last thing you want to do is become engorged because then that'll be painful

I’m sorry you don’t get support to be able to breastfeed. 😞
You still have to remove some milk or else you can get clogged and engorged. But not pumping or nursing or the stimulation will produce more milk and continue the cycle, it’s said that cabbage leafs help to dry the milk out, you can try that since you’re milk is just coming in.

Ugh.. I totally understand you. I'm by myself, and I thought about this too. I got a pump bc after seeing all the recalls on baby formulas, and going into RSV, cold, flu season has me convinced maybe I can pump a bunch, freeze, and store it. I'm new to all of this, so we shall see. I'm going to try and hope for the best.
