Waalaikumsalam. Yes sister , it is Halal. I had it twice during my first & current pregnancy

Thank you so much!

are you going to get it done? i’m unsure on whether to get that and the flu jab

we have been given Priorix MMR vaccine which doesnt contain pork gelatine. It should be standard in UK once you went to GP/midvies. Check the red book to see what type of MMR they gave (priorix / MMRvaxpro) the HV/midwive usually put the label on the red book/written it down

the whooping cough vaccine is for the baby protection , not us so i recommend to get it done as Pertusis is still a common disease found in newborn ♡

thank you for clarifying, how about the flu jab? Is it worth getting? I’ve heard stories where ppl are worse off after getting it 😭 but if you say the whooping cough one is needed then i’ll get it

i had flu vaccine twice last year *when breastfeeding* and currently while pregnant. Not sure about worth getting but I never experienced a severe flu/hay fever/or any related diseases really after my first jab, so maybe we can say it does works so it "worth it ? 😆 the only effect from flu jab was the time the GP injected the syringe on my arm lol it was a bit pain but then i didnt have any severe effects. I had worse with covid jab tbh. Unline covid vaccine, flu vaccines had plenty of research before being released and so have more guaranteed safety then Covid jab, if i would say. Also, all flu adults vaccines in UK are halal .it gives long term protection as well for our babies. So Go for it ♡

weird they wrote the vaccine brand names for other vaccines but not with the MMR there on your book! I assumed they gave your baby Vaxpro which is standard in UK . Midwives should always offer Priorix which doesnt contains gelatine to all muslim parents. Sad that it doesnt become routine to ask that to parents

oh that’s okay, it’s just cause everytime i’ve had a vaccine i just feel i end up feeling worse off and more poorly then without it. My parents are the same with the flu jab and they feel their immune system isn’t as good and they fall more ill now with the flu jabs. I’m just worried being pregnant too x

highly recommend the flu jab especially whilst your pregnant. Last year during flu season when everyone in my household was poorly I wasn’t alhumdulilah as I was the only one that had the flu jab.
As for the whooping cough jab it’s to protect your baby as they can’t be vaccinated until they’re 8 weeks old xx

Yh I got it done. It was halal. I’ll take the flu jab later. You should take whooping cough vaccine as it is to protect your baby. Flu jab you can decide later.
