I'm 33 weeks and completely lost on where to start with breast pumps! Are the name brands better than the unbranded ones on Amazon? Should I wait until I know for certain that I can breastfeed before buying one or should I have one ready to go regardless? Also do I bring my pump with me to the hospital? Please help a confused mama out š© I'd also appreciate any recommendations on which ones to get X

Iām currently 32 weeks for now I just purchased 1x Manual Tommee tippee pump . My plan is to Breast feed however pumps Iāve looked at (I want a hands free one) are all very expensive! So personally Iām just going to see how I go before splashing out on a pump but everyoneās different! Xx

Iāve just bought a haakaa for opposite breast whilst little one is feeding so none goes to waste š¤. Iām personally waiting to see how I get on with breast feeding in general before I consider buying an electric pump āŗļø x

Iāve done exactly the same as Shannon ^^
Weāve bought the tommee tippee manual pump for now and then if I can breastfeed regularly Iāll invest in the Elvi stride I think. Iāve heard really good reviews but it definitely depends on budget.
I would just make sure you know what features you 100% want (hands free, app access etc) and then work out your budget, there are so many on Amazon which also have amazing reviews so definitely worth shopping around š

It's recommended not to pump or express for a few weeks so your milk regulates, so just see how you go and then buy the pump once baby is here, a lot of people start with the haakaa expresser which is just a manual pump which is good for collecting leakage when feeding, it's really affordable and easy to use š
Thank you so much everyone! I forgot to mention that I've already bought one haakaa for the same reason as so I think I'll definitely stick with that for now and reevaluate once baby's here š©·
