Does your baby drink water?

Struggling to get my little one to drink water. I’ve tried the munchkin cup, the straw and replace with a cup method, a small cup, the honey bear. Everything. Help?

Not very well but she sure does love to try and get it all over herself.

We use a silicone straw cup and I also let her use it open but I help her hold it when open since it's not rigid. It's always on her high chair when she eats and half of her meal time is spent trying to suck all the water out.

My boy likes using our normal glasses that the family use. He wants exactly what we have. So I tightly hold the glass for him and he’ll chug mouthfuls of that

I got the little red shot cups. Or regular glass cup so I can see where the water is.

Did you get ur lo used to a straw first? Sometimes you have to teach them how it works. If not I’d try just a normal sippy cup or my daughter likes drinking out of a yeti so maybe that might work

My LG loves does great with a straw cup. I just got Take N Toss ones from Walmart. You can give them a squeeze and the water comes right up so LO can figure it out quickly.

Whatever you go with, just keep practicing and offering at every meal. Water is optional at this age so it is more about practice than hydration

i gave my daughter water on the munchkin cup with the straw but she loves drinking out of the actual water bottle while i hold it for her. have you tried that? if not try some purée on the straw to teach them how to suck on the straw

Nope. Every time I try she makes a funny face and spits of right out. We’ve tried every way possible and just no luck.

My baby loves it. He's not 100% good at drinking it yet

My son drank a little water today. But I’m not consistent with it because it’s not something I need to worry about now. He drinks 32oz of formula a day and that plenty of water. But I’m going to try to become more consistent with it just because he should learn how to drink from a supply cup or an open cup. I have the munchkin one where he bites down and water comes out. He used that one for the first time. And a small open cup with a heavy bottom.

My son gets water everytime he eats solid foods /puree . I serve him 2-3oz in his sippy cup and he drinks away

My son first learned the straw cup with breastmilk. I tried it with water and he just wasn’t motivated to drink from it but he learned REAL QUICK when the good stuff was at stake. Now he drinks water from the straw cup just fine. I have the mama bear weighted straw cups.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
