I need help thinking of special or unique gifts that are not toys. I love the idea of special things they will grow up with or starting new traditions. A few things I have been thinking about are writing letters to our son every year and then giving them to our son on his 18th birthday. Or painting a birthday plate every year with him that he can have cake on. But would love other ideas from those who are more creative than me!

Awe I love the plate idea. How nice it would be when he has his own home to have those ❤️ sorry I don't have any ideas to share

I asked for books. There is a series called little people big dreams.
I also asked my dad if he could make a portable height chart out of a 1x4. We have moved 3 times in the last year and half and we're planning on moving again (hopefully) soon. It's like a doorframe that can come with us

Season passes to the aquarium or zoo. Basically instead of a toy an adventure. Books, clothes, shoes... sensory play items?

great idea. Some places have like play area places for tumbling and such. A pass for that would be great too

that's a great idea!! And classes. Like tumbling or music
