Iron infusion?

Yes last week i did. It didn’t go so well !!! Soon as my bag was completed i had a reaction. Blood pressure dropped , dizziness & nearly fainted. I had to be rushed to the Er !! Not trying to scare you but I’m just going to stick to the pills. They said it could’ve been dehydration , or the dosage was too high for me

I had iron infusions. 1 a week for 4 weeks. They went perfectly fine and after the 2nd one I could tell such a difference in how I felt. By the 3rd one I felt brand new, much more energy and not getting dizzy or short of breath anymore.
They did tell me some people can have reactions and they monitor you for 30 mins to an hour after to make sure everything is fine. I would definitely do it again if needed.
They made me very comfortable, gave me a pillow and warm blankets and snacks.

I am going to have them from the coming week onwards..

I had blood work done and results say I’m mildly anemic. But I know they prescribed me iron pills I’ll be getting soon

Hii yes!! I much rather take it orally but I guess my levels called for an infusion. Prior to finding out my results I hadn’t eaten red meat during pregnancy or taken iron supplements… so I started taking iron orally and I’m PRAYING that’s enough… re testing next week and if not, I’ll get the infusion 🙁
