My little loves their toothbrush but is holding his top teeth hostage. Shuts his lip so tight over them. When I took a peek it looked like the top teeth was yellowing a bit. I brush his teeth twice a day so I’m worried they’ll get worse without a proper cleaning. Any advice?!

I didn’t take any of my kids to the dentist until 2 lol. Any younger would have been pretty impossible for them to do anything. Unless you can see there is something wrong I don’t think it’s a big deal

Hey Amanda, there are pediatric dentist. You’re recommended to take them in at 12 months or six months after their first tooth. You you have the right idea see what’s going on.

My guy does the same thing with his top lip so my husband and I lay him on his back in our laps so his head tilts back and down and then one of us holds his hands and the other gets those top teeth brushed as quick as we can. He hates it while it's happening but is fine immediately after and still wants to hold the toothbrush so he can "brush" his own teeth (really mostly just suck on the toothbrush). It is important to brush the front and backs at least once a day or you can use a damp soft cloth with your finger to wipe them clean if you can't get the brush in there.

yea I think I just need to get in there another to at least scrub those those teeth. Finger brush or cloth would probably work much better than the brush for now

My babies have been going to the dentist since they were 6 months even tho they had 0 teeth lol is better to go and get them check often🤷🏻♀️
