Would I be a horrible person if I sold all my baby shower gifts

So I’m currently living in a studio apartment, it’s small but big enough for my son and I. My sons father works up state to provide for us. When my boyfriend and I found out we were pregnant we were only together for a month. His family completely cut him off because they didn’t approve of me (his family is wealthy, important for later) they gave him the ultimatum ether I have an abortion or they disown him. We agreed to go through with the pregnancy and they stopped talking to him. Well I’ve been posting pictures of my ultrasound and updates on my pregnancy on Facebook and his mom reached out TELLING me they had a baby shower for me on Saturday. I wasn’t invited and I had absolutely no clue this was happening, apparently they also made me a baby shower registry and shared it with all their rich friends and everything plus extras were purchased. His mom found my address somehow and showed up today with a u-Haul full of all the things they got at “my” baby shower. I had to rent a storage room to put everything in because not half of the things fit in my tiny home. When she walked into my place she looked around and saw I had a mini crib and baby swing that I got second hand for free and gave it a look of disgust and said I need to throw that trash away because “her” baby can’t sleep in old filth that has been used. I 100% appreciate the help their giving me now with all these things but my place is so small I have no room for it. The mini crib, swing, portable changing table and few toy’s already take up 20% of my place. I told her I’ll probably sell most if not all the things she gave us because we have absolutely no room for anything and just save the money for diapers and wipes in the future. She completely lost her mind and called me ungrateful. I feel bad now after saying it. Am I a horrible ungrateful person for wanting to sell the gifts?…should I just leave them in storage till his family forget about it.

Sell it girl 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ they didn’t even invite you to “your” shower.

I’m confused on the whole disown your son but then turn around and have a baby shower without you how does that even work

But keep what you can and sell/exchange the rest you told them what you were going to do so no surprise later when/if you do it
How does dad feel about all this

Storage is costing you money. Take what you need, sell the rest

I wouldn't feel bad at all! She's basically dumped shit on your doorstep without asking you 😶 like you don't even know this woman!! I'd be so mad I straight up would call her and ask her to take it away. Don't worry about offending her, she sounds like a nasty, entitled piece if work anyway who you don't need in your life!!

I’m going to go in the opposite direction of most of the comments here. If there’s a way your baby can have more and better things by accepting their gifts then that’s what you do. Be logical, not emotional. I would kit out the studio flat, replace the old/second hand things with the new things from the baby shower and swallow my pride for the sake of the baby. I don’t know what things you got but they’re for the baby and that’s where they should go. Not wanting to keep/accept them because your feelings are hurt is understandable but not helpful to little one 🫶🏾 I know exactly how you feel, trust me, but sometimes it’s bigger picture mentality

I would go through the gifts and keep what I wanted, then sell the rest.
There is nothing wrong with secondhand as long as it's safe.
I'd keep a pack-n-play, collapsible high chair, car seat, and collapsible stroller. Might change the list if I knew what you were given.

@Abbie I agree. Keep the stuff.
Like you don't have to like those people or keep them in your life. But why not take the stuff lol they want to give you things, so then sure.
Talk to baby's dad though. Like check to find out what this means, is this their way of trying to have baby in their life? I dunno if you'd want that, especially with their attitude. If they want you in their life now, they should've made the baby shower about you.
I think keep the nice stuff. if it's costing u money to store it, then maybe some things you might wanna sell. Because you don't like it. Don't want it, etc. Also, some things you might not even be able to fit into your home, so why keep them.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.
