Hi all,
I had my C section two days ago and am now home from the hospital. I just wanted to realistically have an idea of how long I can expect this really intense pain.
Like when does it become a more manageable dull pain instead of absolute agony to get up and down and move around?

Hiya! A C section mother here too 🥰 — So considering you’re back from the hospital, I would definitely recommend you start walking around slowly, and keep that consistent. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, so do what works for you. But personally for me, sitting down and lying down didn’t help. If anything, I needed to walk around and be more active and I’m glad I was, because I definitely think it helped me heal a lot more quicker than I had anticipated!xx

Awwww. Don’t have ice chips or anything cold it slows down the healing process I’ve heard. I also had a c section it gets way easier on the beginning of week 3. You will be uncomfortable but ask for help and screw the house mess and everything

Just snuggle that baby skin to skin!

Take your meds while walking around! It helped so much but don’t push yourself! You got this mama! Congrats 💕

Hey, agree with what said. Do not recommend steps or anything rigorous however walking within your room, avoiding just lying down for too long will help. And also, take those pain meds. Do not skip on them, take them for the entire 3 weeks that the doctor gave you for. Initial 1 week is rough, then it should get easier. I had my C section 3 months ago too.

You will be fine after a week, I know you might feel like you got hit by a bus that feeling won’t last too long. Try to walk around as much as you can but also rest and bound with your baby it will help your healing process. I had my second C-section two weeks ago with my third baby. I felt like crap the first few days but I’m 2 1/2 weeks in and I’m doing much better.

I’m 3 weeks after my c section and it’s definitely down to a dull ache now. It does get better but at first it was horrendous! I found that sleeping sitting up against pillows helped as going from lying to standing was agonising
