I’ve only been doing once a week atm as it really dried my baby’s skin out, as soon as he starts getting used to it I’ll probably try and do 3 times a week (every other day) x

are you using any products? I’ve also ready confusing stuff some say not to some say to only cream after and only water to bath it’s so confusing 😩 x

Mine is 4 weeks today and he's had 2 just water baths and only cream where he's had really dry skin so far. Apart from that I've done cotton
Wool baths/wet wipe washes. X

We got told by the hospital not to bath our baby for the first 2 weeks, then once a week for the first 6 weeks 🙂 but when I asked our health visitor, she just said it’s our baby, it’s upto us if we want to give him another odd bath or two!

They’ve all just advised not to use products for the first 6 weeks, water only 😊

I think every baby is different and everyone is given different advise so it’s best to make your own mind up. I was advised by my HV to bath my baby everyday, every other day in an oil due to him having dry skin. I use the neales yard baby one. The other days I add nalas baby shampoo to the bath and wash him with the water. His skin is amazing now and hasn’t irritated him at all. Has also helped him get into a nighttime routine doing it every evening x

My baby is 3 weeks old but has really dry sensitive skin so I do maybe once or twice a week and then moisturise her skin with aveeno I think she's inherited her dad's skin xx

For first bath I did use baby soap and shampoo only because it was a week after birth and his hat still had a little dried blood in. Another bath a week later with just water and scent free sensitive moisturiser.
Once the dry skin has cleared I’ll bathe him more often, it’s good to let the natural oils do their thing x

My health visitor said only bath them if they need it so I've only been doing it he's had a full nappy blow out or he's looking a bit crispy 😂

The rest of the time I'm still top and tailing if/when needed.

My baby loves baths one of the few things that settles him at night, his now 4 weeks and has had probably 5/6 baths now. He has drops of night time bath soap & has had 3 hairwashes too (he has very long hair) once he’s out he has a good towel dry, massage with cream and a hairbrush & his skin is looking and smelling lovely.
My HV said baths can be very relaxing for them particularly for babies like mine who has some tummy issues.

I think some of the bath advise regarding waiting is very out dated & doesn’t work for every baby, do whats right for yours xx

I’ve done once a week, my baby is 3 weeks old and my baby hates the bath and I’m also on my own as my partner works back shift so I do bath time myself. He’s not in a good enough routine yet to do it nightly or fortnightly, I’ll follow bath bottle bed when he’s more consistent routine wise when he’s a little older x

My LB is 4 weeks on Saturday and since his cord fell off we have bathed him every night. We absolutely loves the bath and it helps get him into a routine. We have only just bathed him in water , haven't used any products. I think it's whatever works best for you and your baby , I don't think there's any right or wrong amount of times xx

My 3 week old hasn't had a bath yet, only a wash with a top and tail bowl.
My first didn't have an actual bath until 8 weeks, never had nappy rash, cradle cap, dry skin ect.
I use neals yard baby stuff and not had an issue.
It just depends on you tbh, if baby if often sick or having nappy blow outs then absolutely give them a bath, I'd just avoid Johnsons products until baby is older, as they're full of crap.

sorry what’s neals yard baby? I’ve never heard of that brand x

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
