Curious as to how long newborns stay awake between feeds? Have a three week old. By the time we have done nappy and feed she is ready to sleep again, so don’t get much play time! Is this normal?

Newborns sleep, eat, poop and pee. Totally normal mama 💕

Thank you! 💕 from how many weeks should I expect her to have longer wake windows?

I have a 2 week old and sometimes she doesn’t stay awake long enough for nappy and feeding, so not long at all, maybe 20 minutes some times, so ends up dream feeding a lot 🥲

From memory it was around 3-4 weeks that she started to stay awake for maybe like 10 minutes after a feed and change

This was ours for the first two weeks then in his third week he decided he didn't like sleep anymore and was staying awake for 3-5 hours at a time!
He screamed this whole time though so we couldn't do any playtime 😫
We're coming out the other side of that now thank goodness and he's back to being awake for about half an hour between naps x
